Mind the gap! Addressing gender wage inequality within reproductive endocrinology and infertility
April 2, 2019 will mark “equal pay day” for women in the United States, marking how far into the new year a woman must work to earn what her male counterparts earned in 2018 alone. Nationally, women are earning about 20% less than their male counterparts for identical positions (1). Yet, paradoxically, women, who make up 57% of the work force, are more likely to earn graduate degrees than men (1, 2).
